Maple Oatmeal and Dried Fruit and Sweet Spices

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins (or a combination of) or 1/2 cup dried cherries (or a combination of) or 1/2 cup dried blueberries (or a combination of) or 1/2 cup dried sweetened cranberries (or a combination of)
  • 1 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (plus extra for serving)

Directions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a slow cooker.

  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 7-9 hours, or overnight.

  3. Stir the oatmeal well and scoop into bowls.

  4. Serve with milk and maple syrup.
