Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients
- 3 cups unsifted flour
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 4 eggs, unbeaten
- 1/2 t. salt
- juce of 1 orange
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 T. sugar
- 3 t. baking powder
- 4 large apples, sliced thin
- 2 t. cinnamon
Directions

Lightly grease angel food pan. In bowl, beat together until smooth flour, sugar, eggs, oil, salt, orange juice, vanilla and baking powder. Mix apples, cinnamon and 5 T. sugar. Layer batter, than apples, batter, apples, ending with apples. Bake in 350 oven for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
