Tomato Juice Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups seedless raisins (cooked 5 min- drained and cooled)
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 4 cups flour
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup nuts if desired

Alternate flour and juice. Mix well. Bake 50 minutes at 325 degrees.
