Honey Glazed Carrots

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 pounds carrots, cut 1/2 inch thick
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne, if desired
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Melt butter in large skillet over med-high heat

  2. Add carrots and cook, stirring, until carrots begin to turn golden, about 3 minutes

  3. Stir in honey, 1/4 cup water, salt and cayenne

  4. Cover, reduce heat to medium and cook until carrots are tender, about 4-5 minutes

  5. Uncover and cook on high heat until pan sauce turns syrupy and glazes carrots, about 2-3 minutes
