Spaghettie-Meat Sauce for 150

This makes two large electric roasters full!!! Use this for your church, family reunion or any large gathering. You can easily divide this into servings for 100 or 50 people.
This recipe allows for 3/4 cup sauce per person serving.
Read the package of pasta to figure out how much of that you need to purchase.
Add a tossed salad, some garlic bread sticks and a container of Parmesan and everyone is happy!

Ingredients
- 6 cups chopped onion
- 3 large bell peppers chopped
- 2 cups celery chopped
- 8 large cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 2 cups olive oil
- 3 tablespoons oregano, heaping
- 6 tablespoons chili powder, heaping
- 3 tablespoons salt, heaping
- 7 tablespoons sugar, heaping
- 3 gallon cans diced tomatoes with juice
- 9 each 29 ounce cans tomato sauce
- 9 each 12 ounce cans tomato paste
- 25 pounds ground beef

NOTE: If you can not find the cans in the amounts listed then make sure you buy enough smaller cans to total the number of ounces required.

Saute until tender in olive oil, onion, bell peppers, celery, garlic and parsley.

Add oregano, chili powder, salt and sugar. Stir in canned tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste.

Brown beef and season with garlic salt, salt and pepper. Drain and add to sauce in roasting pan.

Simmer, uncovered, 2-3 hours in roaster set at 275 – 250 degrees. Add water occasionally if it gets too thick, about 1 quart to each roaster.
