Waffles
(from cokerlj’s recipe box)
Recipe came from a very old Fannie Farmer cook book that my mother had from the 1930’s. The only way to make waffles!

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup flour sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 2 egg whites stiffly beaten
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 egg yolks beaten
- 1/2 cup oil
Directions
-
NOTE: I do not use a Belgin Waffle Iron…I am not sure it would work well as a Belgin Waffle?
-
TIP: If batter is too thick, and it usually is, add a little more milk. Spray your waffle iron before putting in your first batch with “Pam”.
-
Sift dry ingredients, stir in egg yolks, milk and oil.
-
Fold in egg whites.
-
Spoon into waffle iron. Cook until a golden brown and crisp.
