Impossible Bacon Pie

Great for a Sunday night supper.

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese shredded
  • 1/3 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. TIP: You can substitute 2 cups cut up fully cooked ham for the bacon.

  2. Heat oven to 400 degrees.

  3. Grease a 10 inch deep dish pie plate. Sprinkle with bacon, cheese and onion in pie plate.

  4. Beat remaining ingredients 15 seconds in blender on high speed, 1 minute with wire whisk or hand beater or until smooth. Pour into pie plate.

  5. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes. (This took a lot longer to cook than I expected.)
