Italian Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 T olive oil
  • 1 lb each, hot and sweet Italian Sausage
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 12 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 t dried oregano
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 1/2 c red wine
  • 28 ounce diced tomatoes, drained
  • 28 ounce tomato sauce
  • 2-4 chicken breasts
  • 3 T fresh basil or 1 T dried

Directions

  1. Saute the sausage…either in or out of casing, cut into chunks. Saute onions and garlic. Add remaining ingredients and simmer a couple of hours
