Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 2 tsp W sugar
- 2 pkg. yeast (2 TBSPS)
- 2 TBSP. w sugar
- 1 TBSP salt
- 2 TBSP veg. oil
- 6 cups flour
- cornmeal
- 1 egg
- 1 TBSP milk

Don’t use a mixmaster

Combine sugar and water and sprinkle the yeast on top let rise for 10 mins.

Stir the yeast mixture with a fork and add sugar ,salt and oil. In a large bowl, put 3 cups of flour and make a well in the middle. Add the yeast mixture, with a fork, beat for 2 mins. Then add remainder flour, one cup at a time amd mix well. Let rise for 10 mins.

Punch down and let rise another 10 mins. Do 2 more times. Cut dough into half and shape into 2 loaves

Brush top with the egg and make gashes on top

Let rise for 1/2 hour

Bake lowest rack at 400 for 25 min.
