Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoon poppyseeds

Directions

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease and flour two loaf pans.

  3. Wisk flour, baking powder, and salt together.

  4. In a seperate bowl wisk sugar, butter, egg, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla together.

  5. In a third bowl mix poppyseeds with one tablespoon of the flour mixture.

  6. Add half the flour mixture to half of the sugar mixture and mix well.

  7. Repeat with the other half of the mixtures.

  8. Spread evenly into loaf pans.

  9. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
