Peanut Butter Candy Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups boiling water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5 peanut butter cups
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Combine water and rolled oats together.

  2. Allow them to cool to room temperature.

  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  4. Cream butter, sugars, and vanilla together.

  5. Beat eggs into mixture.

  6. Add oatmeal then remaining ingredients.

  7. Beat on medium speed for one minute.

  8. Pour batter into a well greased 9″ × 13″ baking dish.

  9. Dice peanut butter cups.

  10. Sprinkle top of batter with peanut butter cups.

  11. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
