Ingredients
- 3 c sugar
- 4 heaping tablespoons cocoa
- 3 T light corn syrup
- 1 c evaporated milk
- 6 T butter
- 1 c chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 1/2 t vanilla
Directions

Mix sugar and cocoa then stir in syrup and milk.

Cook in saucepan over medium stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil around 5 mins until it reaches softball stage on candy thermometer.

Remove from heat. Quickly stir in butter, pecans and vanilla.

Pour into buttered 9×9 pan.
