creamy chicken with biscuits

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound carrots cut into inch lenghts
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 sm. onion
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 11/2 boneless, skinless chicken
  • 1/2 teap. poultry seasoning, salt and black pepper
  • 1/2 dry white win
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 6 biscuits (store bought or made)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions

  1. In a 4-6 quart slow cooker, toss together the carrots, celery, onion, and flour.
  2. Place chicken on top and season with poultry seasoning, 1 teasp. salt and 1/4 teasp. pepper. Add white wine.

  3. Cover and cook until chicken and vegetables are tender for about 5-6 hours on low or 2-3 on high.

  4. Thirty minutes before serving make easy biscuits on bisquick or similar or buy biscuits.

  5. Ten minutes before add peas, cream and 1/2 teasp. to chicken and stir.

  6. Cover and cook until heated through, about ten minutes more.

  7. Serve over biscuits.
