Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- Dried red pepper flakes
- Big bag of fresh green beans
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
Directions
-
Before you start, be sure to turn on your stovetop ventilation fan. The fumes from frying red pepper flakes will choke you out of the kitchen if you do not!
-
Remove ends from green beans, and cut them into inch-long pieces.
-
Mix soy sauce and sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
-
Heat the oil on high in a stir fry pan, when quite hot add the garlic and red pepper flakes to taste. Fry for a minute or so, until garlic gets bit brown, then quickly add your green beans.
-
Stir-fry green beans for several minutes on high, stirring frequently. Cook until they are the texture and color you like.
-
When beans are to your liking, pour in soy sauce-sugar mixture. Stir and cook for a minute or so while excess liquid evaporates.
-
Remove beans from heat. You can cover the pan and let sit for several minutes before serving.
