Russian Tea Cakes

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Directions

eheat the oven to 325. Line sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla.

Beat on medium speed until smooth, about 1 minute.

Add the walnuts and beat on low speed until blended.

Add the dry ingredients and beat until the soft comes together in large clumps.

Roll a level teaspoon into a 1 inch ball, place the balls 1 inch apart on baking sheet.

Bake cookies until the bottoms are light brown and the tops are lightly colored, about 20-25 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes and then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Roll cooled cookies in sifted confectioners’ sugar.
