Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 medium onion , chopped
- 1 -2 tablespoon caraway seed
- 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine , melted
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed chicken broth
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper (to taste)
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen English peas , thawed
Directions

Saute the first 3 ingredients in butter in a Dutch oven for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

Stir in broth, water, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil; cover, decrease heat, and simmer 20 minutes.

Add in peas; cook 5 minutes.
