Ingredients
- 2 T. olive oil
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 2 t. minced onion
- 1 t. dried oregano
- 1T. plus 2t. chili powder
- 1t. dried basil
- 1/4 t. ground black pepper
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/2 t. ground cumin
- 2t. dried parsley
- 1/2 c. salsa
- 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 3 cups water
Directions

Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and saute for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the onion, oregano, chili powder, basil, ground black pepper, salt, cumin, parsley, salsa and tomato sauce. Mix together and then stir in the water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
