Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 lbs firm crisp apples , peeled, cored, and cut into 8 pieces (Golden Delicious is recommended)
- 1/2 cup white sugar or 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions

Add butter to a large, deep skillet; set heat at medium.

When the butter melts, add in the apples; turn the heat to low, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.

Add in the sugar and cinnamon; increase heat to medium; cook, stirring often, until the apples are tender and glazed, another 10 minutes or so.

Serve hot or warm.
