Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 C all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 salt
  • 1 C butter (no substitutions)
  • 2 C sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 C milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 Tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a cookie sheet or line with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a mixing bowl, cream butter for 30 seconds; add the 2 C sugar and cream until fluffy.

  4. Add eggs, milk and vanilla to creamed mixture; beat well.

  5. Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating till well combined.

  6. Form dough into 1" balls; roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

  7. Place balls 2" apart on prepared cookie sheet and flatten slightly with the bottom of drinking glass.

  8. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8-9 minutes or until light golden in color.
