Ingredients
- 60 caramels, light
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 package German Chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 cup chocolate chips, semi sweet
Directions

In a heavy saucepan or microwave, melt caramels in 1/2 cup evaporated milk and set aside.

Grease and flour 9 × 13 cake pan.

Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and walnuts.

Press 1/2 of cake mixture into pan.

Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees.

Sprinkle chocoalte chips over hot crust.

Spread caramel mixture over chocolate chips.

Crumble remaining cake mix on top.

Return to oven and bake 18-20 minutes.

Cool before cutting so caramel layer will set up.
