Toasted Almond Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup milk chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sliced almonds, finely chopped then toasted

Directions

  1. Combine evaporated milk adn sugar in small, heavy duty sauce pan.

  2. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-low heat, stirring constantly.

  3. Boil, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat.

  5. Stir in morsels.

  6. Stir vigorously until mixture is mooth.

  7. Stir in vanilla extract.

  8. Refridgerate for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

  9. Roll into 1" round balls.

  10. Roll balls in almonds.

  11. Cover.

  12. Keep refridgerated until ready to serve.
