Gnocchi with Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups gnochhi
  • 6 ounces sliced mushrooms
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • 1/8 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 minced shallot
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons white wine

Directions

  1. Bring water to a boil then add gnochhi; cook until gnocchi floats.

  2. Drain well.

  3. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet.

  4. Add mushrooms and shallot, brown well.

  5. Stir in garlic, flour, thyme.

  6. Bring broth, cream, and wine to a simmer and allow mixture to thicken slightly.

  7. Fold gnocchi, mushrooms, and liquid together.

  8. Serve warm.
