Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cranberries, cut in half
- 1 egg well beaten
- milk
Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, and sugar in large bowl. Cut in shortening. Fold in cranberries. Mix well. Beat egg and enough milk to make 1 cup. Add to flour mixture. Turn out dough on floured board after separating into fourths. Knead each piece lightly 15 – 20 times. Roll out and cut into quarters. Should be about 1/2" thick. Brush top with egg yolk with two tbsp. water.
