Ingredients
- 1 lb Polish sausage (kielbasa)
- 3/4 cup onion , chopped
- 1 clove garlic , minced
- 2 (16 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth (I use beef bouillon and water)
- 1/4 cup uncooked barley (not quick cooking kind)
- 1/2 cup uncooked lentils
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 cups diced potatoes
- 1 cup sliced carrot
Directions

In large pot, cook sausage and onions until onions are soft.

Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer soup, covered, about an hour or until potatoes and carrots are tender.
