Gorgonzola and Goat Cheese Crostini

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 6 oz. fresh soft goat cheese
  • 2 oz. gorgonzola cheese
  • 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream, preferably not ultrapasteurized
  • 1 small bunch fresh chives for garnish
  • coarsely ground black pepper for garnish

Directions

  1. Using a wooden spoon, blend the cheese with cream in a small bowl to obtain a smooth, relatively homogeneous mixture.

  2. Thickly spread the mixture on toasts and arrange attractively on a platter.

  3. Mince the chives if using.

  4. Serve the toats plain or sprinkled with chives and pepper.
