Mozzarella, Tomato, and Basil Salad

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 2 1/4in thick mozzarella slices
  • 8 fresh basil leaves
  • olive oil
  • red wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Cut each tomatoe crosswise, making 4 pretty slices

  2. Cut each cheese slice into quarters that are more or less triangular

  3. Put the cheese on the tomato slices

  4. Top with basil leaves

  5. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with vinegar

  6. Serve with salt and pepper
