Shepherd’s Pie

Optional add-ins: corn, peas, celery

Cook time: 20 minutesServes 6 people
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- 1 medium carrot (chopped) or strings
- 2 tsp "Bisto"
- 2 'blobs' ketchup
- 2 lbs potatoes
- 1 T butter
- 2-3 T milk
Directions

Brown the beef and drain

Add carrot and onion and simmer for a few minutes

Mix Bisto with some cold water and add to the mixture-stirring well

Add the ketchup-mix well and simmer for 20 minutes

Peel and cook the potatoes until soft(about 20-25 minutes) Mash with butter and milk.

Put the meat mixture in the bottom of an oven proof dish. Let it cool a little. Add potatoes on top

Cook for about 20 minutes in oven at 350 degrees

Some people like sprinkled cheese on top.
