Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef or beef to cut in strips
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1tsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp peper
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • 1/4 tsp lee and perins (Worcestershire) sauce1/3 cup sour cream (may substitute yogurt)
  • hot cooked noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)

Directions

  1. In large skillet, cook beef and onion in butter over medium heat until no longer pink.

  2. Stir in mushrooms, flour, garlic, salt and pepper.

  3. Cook and stir for at least 5 minutes. Add chili and lee & perins according to taste.

  4. Cook for 10 minutes on lower heat.

  5. Mix and stir in sour cream just before serving.

  6. Serve over noodles.
