Flaky Mushroom Turnovers

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb mushrooms, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tbs. fresh parsley, minced
  • 2 tbs. onion, minced
  • 3 tbs. butter, divided
  • 1 8 oz. can refrigerated crescent dough
  • 2 1/2 tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbs. sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, saute the mushrooms, parsley, and onion in 2 tbs. butter until tender.

  3. Cut the dough into 8 squares or triangles. Place 1 tbs. mushroom mixutre onto each square. Top with 1 tbs. parmesan cheese. Fold into triangles.

  4. In microwave, melt remaining butter. Brush in triangles with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
