Baked French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 pd French bread cut into 1 inch slices
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 tsp brown sugar
  • 3 T light corn syrup

Directions

  1. Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Arrange bread slices in bottom of pan. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.

  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small sauce pan over medium heat, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from stovetop and pour over bread mixture. Bake uncovered for 40 mins.
