Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup oil
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp baking soda
- 1 cup strong coffee (boiling)
Directions

Cream together sugar, egg and oil. Then add cocoa and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix flour, buttermilk, and soda. Add to sugar mixture and combine. Last add 1 cup boiling strong coffee. Mix for 2 minutes. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

Must frost with Farmer’s Wife Chocolate Frosting.

In saucepan mix 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows. Boil for 1 minute. Remove form heat. Add 3/4 cup chocolate chips. Beat until smooth. Spread immediately while still hot over cooled cake.
