White Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves, ground
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2, 4 1/2-oz. cans green chilies
  • 3 cups chicken, cooked and chopped
  • 3, 15-oz. can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
  • sour cream
  • white cheese, shredded
  • tortilla chips

Directions

  1. In a Dutch oven, cook onion and garlic in olive oil until tender. Stir in cumin, oregano, and cloves; cook 2-3 minutes. Stir in broth, chilies and chicken; simmer 30 minutes. Add beans and cook for 15 minutes. Serve with shredded white cheese, sour cream and tortilla chips.
