Ingredients
- 3-1/2 Tbsp flour
- 3 Tbsp cocoa
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 cups milk
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions

Whisk together the flour, cocoa, sugar and a hefty pinch of salt. Whisk in milk.

Over medium heat, stir till thickened. Stir in the butter.

Whisk 1 Tbsp of hot mixture into the beaten egg and return to pan. Cook till completely thickened. Add vanilla.

Serve with whipped cream or pour into cooled pie crust and top with meringue.
