Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef or turkey
  • 3 bottles of parmesan cheese (roasted garlice)
  • 1 c dry red wine
  • 16-20 oz of no boil lasagna noodles
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 pounds of Ricotta cheese
  • 2 T parsley flakes
  • 2 t salt
  • 1/4 t black pepper
  • 2 lbs mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 can beef broth

Directions

  1. Brow meat in heavy skillet: spoon off excess fat

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Prego, wine and beef broth

  3. Set aside approx 2 cup of pasta sauce (to be used to grease bottom of pans).

  4. Add the remainder to browned meat and simmer for 20 minutes uncoverd stirring grequently.

  5. In another large mixing bowl, beat eggs; add ricotta, parmesan cheese, parsley, salt and pepper.

  6. Blend well.

  7. Grease the bottom of each 9 by 13 pan with 1/2 cup of pasta sauce.

  8. Layer lasagna noodles in pan; spread top of lasagna noodles iwth some of the ricotta mixture.

  9. Then add some of the meat sauce.

  10. Then add some mozzarella cheese.

  11. Repeat.

  12. Cover pan with aluminum foil.

  13. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

  14. Let cool 15 minutes before serving.
