Lasagne Meat Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 #2 cans of tomatoes
  • 2 cans (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 1/2 Cup water
  • 1/2 Cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 Cup chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 T salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 tsp diced basil

Directions

  1. Brown beef, onions & garlic in large skillet.

  2. Add remaining ingredients.

  3. Bring mixture to boil.

  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours, stirring occasionally or until sauce is thick.

  5. Remove bay leaves.

  6. Layer casserole dish with a thin layer of sauce, noodles, sauce, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. Repeat until casserole is full.

  7. Bake at 350 for approximately 35-45 minutes. Let cool before serving.
