Indian Fry Bread

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 cup vegetable oil
Directions

Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

Add warm water and knead until dough is soft but not sticky.

Tear off a medium size piece and shape into a ball.

Pat the dough flat.

Use a rolling pin to further flatten dough.

Heat vegetable oil on a skillet until sizzling hot.

Gently place the flattened dough into the hot oil.

Remove bread when it is brown on both sides.

Serve hot, plain or with powdered sugar.
