Bow Ties With Palamino Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 T. butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 mild banana pepper, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 T. flour
- 3/4 C. whole milk
- 1/2 C. heavy cream
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1 1/4 C. spaghetti sauce (jarred)
- 1 lb. bow tie pasta (farfalle)
- 1/4 C. parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1/4 C. fresh basil leaves, sliced
Directions

In a 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, pepper, and garlic, and cook until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.

Stir in flour; cook 1 minute. Stir in milk, cream, and salt; heat to boiling over medium-high heat. Stir in spaghetti sauce and cook over medium heat 10 minutes; stirring occasionally.

Cook pasta as label directs. Drain well; return to saucepot. Add sauce, Parmesan, and basil, toss well to coat pasta.
