Lemon Lime Refrigerator Cake

- CAKE
- 1 3-oz. box lime jello
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 18-1/4-oz. box lemon cake mix
- FROSTING
- 1 envelope whipped topping mix
- 1 3-oz. box lemon jello
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 t. vanilla or orange extract
Directions

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water and stir well. Add cold water. Set aside; at room temperature.

Mix and bake cake according to directions on for for a 9×13 pan. Cool cake 20-25 minutes. Poke deep holes through the cake, spacing about 1/2" apart. With a cup; slowly pour gelatin mixture into holes. Refrigerate cake while preparing topping.

For frosting, in a chilled deep bowl, mix whipped topping mix, instant pudding, milk and extract until stiff, about 4-8 minutes. Immediately frost cake.

Store in refrigerator. Cake may be frozen.
