Peanut Crisp Bar

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/4 Cup powdered sugar or more

Directions

  1. Combine sugar, corn syrup and a dash salt in a 2 quart glass dish. Heat uncovered on high 3 minutes in microwave until sugar dissolves. Stir twice place in foil lined 8×8×2″ baking dish.

  2. In small glass mixing bowl, combine butter and brown sugar. Heat, uncovered on high for 1 1/2 minutes until butter is melted and sugar dissolves. Stir once. Stir in milk and vanilla, add powdered sugar and stir until smooth. Remove cereal mixture from dish; peel off foil. Immediately spread top with frosting. Cut into bars. makes 48 small bars.
