Doughnut Muffins

These muffins are almost like cake, sweet and rich with a spice of nutmeg.

Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 2/3 cups flour
- 1 cup milk
Directions

Cream the butter and sugars together well. Add the oil little by little, creaming until smooth.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time.

Stir in the baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and vanilla.

Stir in flour and milk alternately. Make sure batter is well blended, but not over-mixed.

Fill fourteen greased muffin holes nearly full. Bake at 350 degrees.

Dip tops of muffins into melted butter, and dust with cinnamon sugar. Serve warm or cold.
