Ingredients
- 2 qts (8 cups) water
- 8 bags black tea
- 3/4 c sugar
- 16 whole cloves
- 16 whole cardamon seeds, pods removed (opt)
- 5 cinnamon sticks
- 8 slices fresh ginger
- 1 c milk
- *Chai tea is typically a sweet drink. For less sweetness, reduce sugar to 1/2 cup
Directions

Combine water, tea, sugar, cloves, cardamon, cinnamon and ginger in the slow cooker. Cover; cook on high for 2 1/2 hours.

Strain mixture; discards solids. (May be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days)

Stir in milk just before serving. Serve warm or chilled.
