Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs tart apples
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbs. minced ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. cloves or allspice
- 1/2 tep. salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
Directions

Chop the apples, peeling optional. Place them in a saucepan with all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to a simmer. Simmer for 45 minutes.
