Red Velvet Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • Dry Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups of sugar
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of cocoa powder
  • Wet Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups of Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 bottle (1oz) of red food coloring
  • 1 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract

Directions

  1. in a medium bowl mix all the dry ingredients but pass them through the sifter first.

  2. in a larger bowl mix all wet ingredients and whisk them well.. it is going to turn really red but thats a good thing.

  3. Little by little add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until well combined.

  4. Line muffin pans and use an ice cream scoop to fill them.

  5. Bake for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
