Ingredients
- Chop 3 large onions and saute in butter and olive oil.
- Add beef pieces to the pot and brown
- Add water and boil about 1 hour, skimming the fat off of the top.
- Change the water in the pot.
- Add tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt and pepper and continue to simmer until beef is soft and thoroughly cooked.
- Serve with rice or pasta
