Ingredients

  • Chop 3 large onions and saute in butter and olive oil.
  • Add beef pieces to the pot and brown
  • Add water and boil about 1 hour, skimming the fat off of the top.
  • Change the water in the pot.
  • Add tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt and pepper and continue to simmer until beef is soft and thoroughly cooked.
  • Serve with rice or pasta
