Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb macaroni
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. eheat oven to 400.

  2. Put 4 quarts cold water in large pot and boil.

  3. Sprinkle macaroni into boiling water and cook 10 minutes.

  4. To make the sauce, melt margarine over medium heat, stir in flour with a whisk.

  5. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly with the whisk, until it is slightly thickened with no lumps.

  6. Remove from heat, stir in 1 tsp salt, pepper, mustard and cheese.

  7. Drain the macaroni and place in greased casserole dish.

  8. Pour sauce over and bake for 20 minutes.
