Mom’s Pepper Steak

This was Grandpa & Uncle Melvin’s favorite

Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 90 minutes
Serves 4 people
Ingredients
- 1 Flank Steak
- 2 Tbs oil
- 1 Tb flour
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 beef bouillion cube
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1 large onion, sliced in rings
- 1 large green pepper, sliced
- 1 can mushrooms, 4 oz.
Directions

Thinly slice meat across the grain

Brown meat in oil, and remove from pan

Combine flour through black pepper

Heat to boiling

Add meat and onion, and cover
-
Simmer one hour

Add green onions and mushrooms
-
Simmer 10 to 15 minutes longer

Serve over white rice
