Sausage Egg Casserole

Recipe can be doubled.

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. country sausage, cooked, crumbled, and drained
  • 1/2 loaf King's Hawaiian Round Bread, sliced 1 inch thick
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups Colby Jack cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease a 9×9 baking dish.

  3. Arrange bread over bottom of dish.

  4. Whisk eggs and milk in mixing bowl until well blended. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. Pour half of egg mixture over bread. Sprinkle with half of sausage and half of cheese.

  6. Add remaining egg mixture. Sprinkle with remaining sausage and cheese.

  7. Bake 20 to 30 minutes or until eggs are set and top is a golden brown.

  8. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
