Homemade Chocolate Syrup

Ingredients
- 1/2 C. Sugar
- 1 T. Baking Cocoa
- 2-1/2 tsp. Cornstarch
- 1/2 C. Water
- 2 tsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
Directions

In a 1 quart microwave-safe dish, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and water until smooth. Cover and microwave on high for 4 minutes until the mixture boils, stirring twice. Stir in butter and vanilla until blended. Serve warm over ice cream.
