Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients

  • 1 Pastry for single pie crust or frozen 9 in pie crust
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup of half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • dash ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tblsp all-purpose flour

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees

  2. Prep pastry shell in oven for 8 min.

  3. Cook bacon till crisp, crumble and set aside

  4. In 3 tblsp of bacon grease fry chopped onion until tender not brown.

  5. Beat eggs, add salt, nutmeg, milk and half an half mix well

  6. Add bacon and onion.

  7. Mix flour and cheese in seperate bowl and then add to milk mixture stir well

  8. Pour into prepared pie crust and bake for 50-60 min
