Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked macaroni
- 1/4 C. butter
- 1/4 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 C milk
- 2 C shredded Cheddar cheese
- 12 oz. pkg. smoky links (optional) cut and sauteed
- 1/2 C. bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. butter melted
Directions

Add 2 cup macaroni to 4 cups boiling water and let cook for 7 minutes after water comes to a boil.

Prepare sauce while macaroni is cooking.

Melt butter over low heat in a saucepan.

Blend in flour and seasonings over low heat, stirring with wooden spoon until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Allow to cook for about 1 minute to eliminate starchy flavor.

REMOVE FROM HEAT. Slowly add milk, at first stirring to make a smooth PASTE.

Then stir in remaining milk.

Return to heat, stirring CONSTANTLY. Bring to a boil again and add shredded cheese and stir until cheese is melted and sauce is thick.

DRAIN MACARONI. Pour cheese sauce over cooked macaroni and sauteed smoky links. Mix well. Pour into lightly greased casserole dish.

Mix bread crumbs and butter and sprinkle over top.

Bake uncovered at 350° for 30 min.
